SHIPPING POLICY

Effective Date: 25 June 2026

LEGAL NOTICE: This Shipping Policy is governed by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECT Act) and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA). Your statutory rights under South African law are not affected by this policy.

1. Overview

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed through the Avani online store and sets out the terms, timeframes, and conditions under which we deliver goods to customers within the Republic of South Africa. By placing an order with Avani, you agree to the terms of this Shipping Policy.

Avani ships exclusively within South Africa. We do not currently offer international shipping.

2. Our Delivery Partner

All Avani orders are fulfilled and delivered by Aramex South Africa, using their store-to-door courier service. Aramex is a third-party logistics provider operating independently of Avani.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that:

Once your order has been dispatched and handed to Aramex, the delivery is carried out by Aramex as an independent third party

Avani does not control the day-to-day operations, routing decisions, or delivery schedules of Aramex

Aramex's own terms and conditions apply to the physical transportation of your parcel once it leaves our warehouse

Aramex Customer Service: 0860 272 639 | www.aramex.co.za

3. Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery times within South Africa are as follows:

3.1 Standard Delivery

8 – 11 business days from the date your order is dispatched from our warehouse.

Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding South African public holidays.

3.2 Order Processing Time

Orders are processed within 1 – 2 business days of payment being confirmed. Processing time is not included in the delivery estimate above. Your total estimated wait time from payment to delivery is therefore approximately 9 – 13 business days.

3.3 Dispatch Confirmation

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email notification containing your Aramex tracking number. You can track your parcel in real time at www.aramex.co.za or via the Aramex app.

3.4 Remote and Rural Areas

Delivery to remote, rural, or outlying areas may take longer than the standard estimate. If you are located in an area not covered by Aramex store-to-door delivery, we will contact you to arrange an alternative delivery method or collection point. We reserve the right to charge an additional delivery fee for remote areas, which will be communicated to you before dispatch.

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and the weight of your order. The applicable shipping fee will be clearly displayed before you confirm your purchase, in compliance with Section 43 of the ECT Act.

Avani reserves the right to offer free shipping promotions from time to time. Any such offers will be clearly communicated on our website and will be subject to the terms stated at the time of the promotion.

5. Delivery Delays — Liability and Your Rights

IMPORTANT: Under Section 46 of the ECT Act, Avani is required to deliver your order within 30 days of your purchase unless you have agreed otherwise. Our standard delivery window of 8 – 11 business days is well within this legal requirement.

5.1 Avani's Responsibility

Avani is responsible for ensuring your order is processed, packed, and handed to Aramex within our stated processing time. We take all reasonable steps to meet our delivery estimates.

5.2 Third-Party Carrier Delays

Once your parcel has been collected by Aramex and a tracking number has been issued to you, the physical delivery of your parcel is the operational responsibility of Aramex as an independent third-party carrier. Avani does not accept liability for delays caused by:

Aramex operational delays, capacity constraints, or routing changes

Incorrect or incomplete delivery address provided by the customer

Failed delivery attempts due to the recipient being unavailable

Delays caused by circumstances beyond Avani's reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, extreme weather events, civil unrest, national strikes, load shedding infrastructure failures, or government-imposed restrictions

Force majeure events as defined under South African common law

5.3 Your Rights in the Event of Significant Delay

Notwithstanding the above, and in accordance with South African law, if your order has not been delivered within 30 days of your purchase date:

You have the right to cancel your order and receive a full refund

Avani will process your cancellation and refund within 15 (fifteen) business days of your cancellation request

To exercise this right, contact us at shipping@avani.co.za with your order number

Avani will also proactively notify you if we become aware that your delivery is likely to be significantly delayed beyond our stated timeframe.

5.4 Lost Parcels

If your tracking information shows no movement for more than 5 business days, or your parcel is confirmed lost by Aramex, please contact us immediately at shipping@avani.co.za. Avani will:

Lodge a formal investigation with Aramex on your behalf

Keep you updated on the progress of the investigation

If the parcel is confirmed lost, issue a replacement order or full refund at your election within 15 business days of confirmation

6. Delivery Address

It is your responsibility to provide a complete, accurate, and accessible delivery address at checkout. Please include:

Full street address, suburb, city, and postal code

A contact number reachable during business hours

Any access instructions (e.g. security gate codes, business park names)

Avani and Aramex cannot be held liable for failed or delayed deliveries resulting from an incorrect, incomplete, or inaccessible delivery address provided by the customer. Address changes after an order has been dispatched cannot be guaranteed and may result in delays.

7. Failed Delivery Attempts

Aramex will make reasonable attempts to deliver your parcel to the specified address. In the event of a failed delivery:

Aramex will leave a delivery notification or attempt to contact you via the number provided

You will be required to contact Aramex directly to arrange re-delivery or collection from the nearest Aramex depot

Aramex may return uncollected parcels to us after a reasonable holding period

If a parcel is returned to Avani due to a failed delivery caused by the customer (e.g. incorrect address, failure to collect), the customer will be responsible for the cost of re-delivery. Avani will contact you to arrange this.

8. Goods Damaged in Transit

If your order arrives visibly damaged:

        Do not use the product

Photograph the damaged outer packaging and the product immediately

Notify Avani within 48 (forty-eight) hours of receipt at shipping@avani.co.za

Retain all original packaging — it may be required for an Aramex insurance claim

Avani will arrange collection of the damaged goods at no cost to you and will issue a replacement or full refund at your election. Claims for transit damage reported after 48 hours of delivery may be declined.

9. Order Tracking

All orders include Aramex tracking as standard. Once your order is dispatched, your tracking number will be emailed to the address used at checkout. You can track your delivery:

        Online at www.aramex.co.za

        Via the Aramex mobile app

By contacting Aramex directly on 0860 272 639

If you have not received a tracking number within 3 business days of placing your order, please contact us at shipping@avani.co.za.

10. Public Holidays and Peak Periods

Deliveries are not made on South African public holidays. During peak periods — including but not limited to Black Friday, December and January holiday periods, and major promotional events — delivery timeframes may be extended. We will communicate expected delays on our website and via email where possible.

11. Personal Information

Your delivery address and contact details are shared with Aramex solely for the purpose of fulfilling your delivery. This information is handled in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
